About Laura Klein

To label myself solely as an Editor would be an understatement. Like all of us, I encompass multiple roles and identities simultaneously. Currently, I’m also a published author, a daughter, a chef, a sister, a scuba divemaster, …

I call myself The Word Junky because words are what I love best. From a young age, I was a voracious reader and this passion followed me to university where I graduated with a first-class degree in English. I then joined the exciting world of television and video and enjoyed over two decades of success writing, editing, and producing TV programming, Video, Corporate, and Online Content for clients worldwide, including South Africa, the Middle East, the UK, and the USA.

In 2016, I took a career break to realise my dream of writing full-time. Under my pen name, Anni Fife, I completed my first novel, Luke’s Redemption. Leading New York publisher, The Wild Rose Press (TWRP), contracted and published my book in November 2016. Luke’s Redemption received positive reviews from critics and readers, and it was a finalist in the 2017 RONE Awards. TWRP subsequently published my second novel, Gray’s Promise, which was awarded the Best Romantic Suspense in the 2018 NN Light Book Awards. My third novel, Eva’s Peace, is due for release in mid-2024.

In addition to writing novels, I now provide editing services on both a freelance or contract basis, specifically as a Copy Editor and Proofreader.

I have completed a comprehensive proofreading course (Proofread Anywhere) achieving a certificate of excellence. I am also a proud member of Distributed Proofreaders, an organisation dedicated to the preservation of written works that are in the Public Domain in the United States by converting them into high-quality, freely available digital transcriptions in association with Project Gutenberg.
