I call myself The Word Junky because words are what I love most.
After graduating with a first-class BA in English in South Africa, I built a career in television and video production spanning more than two decades — writing, editing and producing content for clients across South Africa, the Middle East, the UK and the USA.
In 2010, I was appointed Director of English Production at Baynounah Media Group in Abu Dhabi, where I led the development of a new English-language television channel for the Gulf region.
Along the way, I discovered something fiction taught me that no brief ever could — how to hold a reader, how to earn trust on the page, how to make words feel inevitable. Writing under the pseudonym Anni Fife, my debut novel, Luke’s Redemption, was a RONE Award finalist, and Gray’s Promise won Best Romantic Suspense in the NN Light Book Awards. My third novel, Eva’s Peace, is due for release in late 2026.
That same instinct – for story, for structure, for what makes a reader stay – is what I bring to every piece of commercial writing I do.
Storytelling shaped my career. Precision defines it.
